Noetic donates $500 scholarship to Mississippi Academic Decathalon
Noetic Technologies, Inc., the University of Southern Mississippi's marketing and commercialization arm , donated a $500 sholarship to the Mississippi Academic Decathalon that was awarded to Jonah Gunalda of Madison Central High Shcool in Jackson, MS. The event consisted of two days of test and anxiety. Five state schools were competing for the chance to represent the state of Mississippi in Washington, D.C. at the National Academic Decathalon. Michael MacMillan represented Noetic Technologies, Inc. at the awards banquet. "It was a pleasure to see that academics were very important to these students", said Michael. Jonah, the recipient of Noetic's scholarship gave a breathtaking speech on his dreams of one day being a real life power ranger. Jonah not only realized his dream, but also made a kid's dream come true by posing as a power ranger at a birthday party. Jonah said, "the spandex suit wasn't what I had in mind, but it wasnt about that for me or the kids". Jonah's Madison Central High School team will be representing the state of Mississippi at the National Academic Decathalon. The Noetic team would like to wish Jonah and the rest of his teamates good luck at the national competition.
